Radio Interview Recap: Transforming Communities Through Tiny Homes

During our recent radio interview on the Steven Parker Show (The Light, 1190 AM), our Community Lead, Donnell Jones, and Executive Director, J.W. Frye, discussed our visionary Tiny Homes program. The interview delved into the details of how the Tiny Home Program serves as a beacon of hope and community-building.

Our initiative aims not only to provide affordable housing solutions but also to serve as a driving force for economic growth within the community. We emphasized its potential to create a positive and sustainable impact on the faith-based community within the Bay Area.

Engaging with the Faith-Based Community

Recognizing the significance of community partnerships, our team has actively engaged with local churches to discuss the Tiny Homes program. Many faith based institutions have access to the land and the network of community to provide reintegration for people recently housed through the work. By fostering partnerships with various faith-based organizations, we aim to create a network dedicated to rebuilding lives and strengthening communities. We are excited to offer this program to the faith-based community, creating a sense of unity and support for those in need.  If you are part of a faith-based community or know of one interested in our program, reach out to us to explore potential collaborations.

Tiny Homes as a CTE Curriculum: Shaping Future Leaders

A key aspect of our program is the integration of Tiny Homes into the Career Technical Education (CTE) curriculum at San Rafael High and other high schools and junior colleges in the region. Students are gaining hands-on experience in construction and design, contributing to the manufacturing of Tiny Homes. We are proud to announce that, starting in the 2024-2025 school year, we will be extending this educational opportunity to the Branson High School in Ross, CA. This expansion not only enriches the educational experience for students but also contributes to the broader community by addressing housing challenges.

Urgent Need: As we strive to expand our Tiny Homes program and meet the increasing demand, we are currently in urgent need of a 6,000 sq. ft. warehouse space. This space will serve as the heart of our operations, facilitating the manufacturing process and enabling us to make a greater impact on the community. If you or someone you know has access to such a warehouse and is willing to donate, please reach out to us. Your support in securing this space is pivotal to the success of our mission.
